Hello, My father has received a notice to quit for his residence. This was for non payment of rent, due to his reduced faculties, and age. My question is, if we have to go to court for an eviction notice, can I go in his place, as he can not get around easily and is 78 years old. I have sent checks to the landlord to pay for the backed rent. I am trying to get all of his affairs straight as I just found out all of this was happening. He lives off of social security, is a war veteran, and is diminishing cognitively rather quickly. The. Notice to quit date was 12/28/25. Any advice or help with this would be appreciated. Thank you for the time.
